Wine Tasting at Pine Ridge Vineyards

A private tour, winding wine caves, and a tasting worth slowing down for. Our visit to Pine Ridge Vineyards gave us the opportunity to photograph a distinctive Napa Valley wine experience. After extensive winery photography work in Temecula, it was a pleasure to head north and capture another chapter of California wine-country hospitality.

About Pine Ridge Vineyards

Founded in 1978 by Gary Andrus, Pine Ridge Vineyards has roots in Napa Valley’s Stags Leap District and a longstanding focus on Cabernet Sauvignon. Its connection to the land extends underground, where more than 32,000 square feet of wine caves provide a memorable setting for exploring the winery’s story.

Our visit began with a private wine-tasting tour that took us behind the scenes and into the caves. Following the pathways through the cellar brought a different perspective to the experience—one that connected the wines in our glasses with the place they were made.

The highlight was a private tasting inside the caves. The setting, personal attention, and opportunity to enjoy the wines together made it a memorable part of our time in Napa Valley.

For us, wine experience photography is about capturing those connections: the setting, the hospitality, and the moments that help someone imagine being there. Our work with wineries in Temecula has given us opportunities to tell those stories close to home. Bringing that experience to Pine Ridge was a rewarding way to explore and photograph another side of California wine country.
